Expressionist works from “Die Bruecke” ( the Bridge) group of artists which was formed in Dresden in 1905. The artists included Kirchner, Heckel, Bleyl, Pechstein, Schmidt-Rottluff, Mueller, Nolde. The museum displays the world's largest collection of expressionist works by this unique group of artists with a vast collection of paintings, drawings, watercolours, original graphics and wood engravings.
